"Over the years, Active Locums Pty Ltd have had an
interesting and eclectic mix of talented doctors registered and working through
our agency who have also had careers outside of medicine. These included an
actor, an opera singer, a number of aspiring writers and some classically
trained musicians and dancers.Creative Doctors is a group that aims to nurture
creativity in doctors and encourage a healthy work-life balance, something that
is also strongly encouraged by Judith Babich, the Director of Active Locums Pty
Ltd. The relationship between Active Locums and Creative Doctors began when we
realised that some of our doctors had these extraordinary creative talents and the
relationship has blossomed ever since.
The flexibility of locum work is a great way to allow
time for artistic pursuits, and the arts can also be a great outlet to
relieve some of the stress associated with a medical career and to be able to
experience the joy of work and living.
Our agency is also a proud sponsor of the NSW Doctors
Orchestra (Musicus Medicus).

that supplies medical staff for metropolitan and rural public, private hospitals
and general practices in NSW and throughout Australia. Our locums
work in all areas and from RMO up to consultant level. Whilst we are a happy to
assist all locums, our agency has a particular interest in Mental Health,
Aboriginal Health, and rural placements. At Active Locums Pty Ltd, we strive to
support our doctors in every possible way, from their locum work and career
goals to their creative pursuits. Judith has completed a Certificate in Careers
Counselling from RMIT and we are pleased to offer a free career counselling
service. We welcome new doctors to register with us, to take control of their
medical career and enjoy the flexibility of life as a locum. Rates of pay
are excellent and can relieve the concern of funding a year of
studying for specialist training exams, planning for any overseas trip or gap
year, or even paying down some of the mortgage.
Active Locums Pty Ltd is always looking for experienced
doctors to join our agency. We have a “refer a friend or colleague” reward
program in place which offers a Visa giftcard or a donation to your nominated charity to anyone who refers a doctor who
successfully registers and undertakes their first locum shifts with us. If you
